    well at least for next three years it does technically now mephi s diploma have no legal power outside of the country since russia joined bologna process like ten years ago and education in our university following this norms started quite recently this or last year i hope someone would correct me here and for academic part i can only say that structure of russian science assume that academic research is carried out by special research institutions and neither of nrnu units is one i m not sure how that affects it s educational status and therefore acceptance rates though so you can easily abandon all that i ve said to you local sceptics believe that mephi stuck in 80-s frankly they are correct in something we have here quite high level of applied physics in departments who maintain contact with aforementioned research institutes moderate at best in ones who don t and we just suck in modern theoretical science
